    Picked up some new speakers.

So I was browsing craigslist last night and found some older Polk Audio RT55s.

I wanted them because my center channel and surrounds are all Polk, they are RM7500's. They are a piano black sat system. Well the RT55 uses the same tweeter for the most part. So I thought it would be a good match for the HT. I was wanting to get rid of my Paradigms wich are used for 2 channel only and use the polks for ht and stereo. That won't be happening. At least not yet. Maybe they will grow on me. As of now I can not justify replacing my Paradigms with the Polks.

So I hooked htem up tonight and they work fine. Not to thrilled with the sound quality yet. I played some Frank Sinatra, Eagles Victim of Love and Hotel CA, Insane Clown Posse all on DVD-Audio 2 channel advanced resolution, and some Celine Dion and Elton John both on SACD. So a wide range of music. Don't care for the mids as much. Also they don't seem to image nearly as well as my Paradigm Monitor 7 V.2's. The RT55's are a 2 way 3 driver. Two 6.5's and a 1 inch tweeter. They are very heavy.

I was pushing them with my Adcom 545mkII 100wpc amp with a Adcom GFA-450 pre-amp. Source was a Denon dvd-3910. They were also bi-wired (not Bi-amped) with Audioquest CV8 cables.

Good thing is I only paid $70 bucks for them.

We shall see if they grow on me!
