Not a huge $$ risk at least. They look well built - perhaps test drivers for the HR's, or maybe the new subs they were supposedly working on. If you can get decent measurements on them for design purposes then it may worthwhile.

You can also get scratch & dent MFW-15 drivers from Danny Richie for $59 right now if you want a little DIY project.

Hey Robert, I was looking at these and noticed in his Q&A that he had a link for what he thinks these subs were made for. Here it is.

I'm thinking of getting a pair my self. I sent him a msg asking him what the resistance is on them. If they are 8 ohm I have a great amp. Would make a good HT sub set project.

Just wonder what to do about a crossover? Would the sub output on a Emotiva UMC-1 have crossover control? Guess I'll have to call them in the AM!

    From thier web site (Emotiva)

•Quadruple bass manager with independently selectable high and low pass frequencies from 40hz – 250hz, in 5 or 10Hz increments (depending on frequency)
•Selectable 12db or 24db per octave high pass and low pass filters by channel groupings
•Independent 11-band graphic EQ with global bass and treble controls by channel groupings
    •Balanced subwoofer output

    Guess this could work!

The Ebay seller just got back to me and said they are 3.66 ohms. Neutral

I know this is an old thread but I just caught it.....

I would not touch those drivers....... There are reasons av123 never used them.

If you really want all the info just PM me......
